As Founder of this fantastic App, what was your motivation to create such an App?
JR: “I was tired of the endless, futile discussions on my Whatsapp groups for every small decision we needed to make. This was most apperant when we organized an event or activity and couldn’t reach a verdict even on the small issues. I realized we have so many ways to communicate in groups (Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook) but it only provides accesibility without really helping. Now the discussions are buzzing in our pockets all day.”

Why should App Users download this App?
JR: “First, it’s fun and refrashing to add another layer to our normal chats and group communication. Secondly to save time and effort when it comes to make group decisions or gather insights from a community. And furthermore it’s easy to use it on any platform or multiple groups simultaneously. 30 seconds with APEO will save you 3 hours in chatter.”

What are the advantages compared to other similar App’s?
JR: “There are many great and powerful polling services like Google forms and Survey Monkey. But they are aimed at the savvy users and are desktop oriented. We created a full mobile experiencce, both for the poll creator and the responders, offer to customize with your choice of background picture, one question only to bring high response rate and anonymous answers to get the real answers from all your groups.”

Can you tell something about the proces, challenges, hurdles and time spend from the moment you start (The Idea) till the moment you launched the App at the AppStore / GooglePlay?
JR: “Wow….. when did we NOT have challenges? From the moment I had the idea for the product it was challenging to find a team who can create it. I was fortunate to be introduced to Ira, a very talented designer, and Israel her partner who liked it and came as the developer. Together they built the product. From start talked with group managers and those who deal with crowd wisdom and polls. With their advice we outlined some of our principals like anonymous results which was a dilemma and focused on full mobile compability.”

Once you launched the App in the Appstore/GooglePlay, what did you do the promote this App to your target audience (user group)?
JR: “Since we launched we found it difficult to reach the first users and the first couple of months were lessons on what’s not working. Slow but sure we gathered traction in Europe where chat Apps are very popular and had some flattering coverage which helped. We reached out to community managers, group leaders and influencers to try it out as well as cooperations with bloggers and sites.”

Do you think Applepies (as worldwide rating and reviewing Online App Magazine) can have a certain role in this?
JR: “Any App main challenge is that people don’t always like to try out new things and it’s hard to change habits. A site like Applepies helps in a way which it has the readers’ trust and can the “new” pill easier to swallow and it’s priceless.”

You as a visionair, what is your view on the new technologies of the digital smartphone (App) world. Do you think that within 1 to 5 years App’s will be indispensable?
JR: “I do believe that the western world will move soon to almost full digital routine and we’ll use our thumb for almost anything from banking to shopping to health. The challenge for the tech world is to create services to match the needs of developing countries and close the gaps. I know some very good people who are on it.”

Are you currently (still) looking for investments or funds to finalise or optimize your App?
JR: “Yes we do. Thanks to our users we have lots of insights regarding the product we wish to further develop and tweak it.”

What is the business model of the App (how does the App earns money?) Think of advertisements, premium subscriptions in the App etc?
JR: “Our basic model is ad based but we already had experience with organizations who used it and payed per usage.”

Last but not least is there anything you want to recommend other App Founders/Creators?
JR: “Make sure you get enough sleep. You’ll need it :)”
