Simple and reliable, you can create postcards online and send an everlasting memory in just a few moments, which will bring the recipients a smile to their faces. Use the postcard app to share your personal moments not only digitally, but in the form of a real printed postcard.
How it works:
You design your individual postcard or greeting card in four steps: - Select a layout - Choose your photo or template - Write your message and enter the address - Check the front and the back of the card - Send it and share your pleasure
– Germany: 2-3 working days - Europe: 2-5 working days - International: 3-7 working days
Postando kindly asks for your understanding, if the dispatch in individual cases should exceed the specified delivery times. Postando guarantees that the production and delivery of your postcard to the post office will take place no later than one business day after your order. The delivery times of your real postcard by the post office may vary slightly depending on the region.

As Founder of this fantastic App, what was your motivation to create such an App?
CB: “One of our co-founder was on vacation and was annoyed by the not convinient process of sending a postcard to friends and family. We wanted to make sending individual postcards as easy as possible so not only the receiver is happy of getting a postcard, but also the sender of saving time and money.”
Why should App Users download this App?
CB: “We don’t waste time of our users – no registration, no need to buy credit upfront, no useless playarounds and adds in the app – the user can easily design and send personal postcards to friends without frustration.”
What are the advantages compared to other similar App’s?
CB: “Compared to other apps, a user needs on average 30% less clicks to create a similar postcard, which saves valuable time, especially on vacation when you could spend the time in the sea or on the mountains. We use CO2-friendly paper and the GO-GREEN transportation of the Deutsche Post.”
Can you tell something about the process, challenges, hurdles and time spent from the moment you start (The Idea) till the moment you launched the App at the AppStore / GooglePlay?
CB: “At that time, when we started to develop the idea, all founders where working for other companies and therefore we had each evening skype conferences, met on the weekends to draw the perfect postcards app and to come up with the whole concept. This was really a lot of work and not much sleep. What has always been important from my point of view was to have partners from the IT and from the graphic design on board from the early stage to save time and also money – because every change you have to make later is much more expensive! Clear responsibilities and task tracking is essential to get on track and don’t waste time on unnecesary things, because when starting a company all parts are interesting and if you want to decide in each area you will go crazy.”
Once you launched the App in the Appstore / GooglePlay, what did you do to promote this App to your target audience (user group)? Do you think Applepies (as worldwide rating and reviewing Online App Magazine) can have a certain role in this?
CB: “We started with Facebook, Instagram and Google Adwords. Then we advertised in the app stores and started some smaller influencer campaigns. It is important to test different channels and to measure all KPIs to understand what works best. And yes, reviews and ratings are for sure important, customers are searching for the best app in the stores and online, so each review helps.”
You as a visionairy person, what is your view on the new technologies of the digital smartphone (App) world. Do you think that within 1 to 5 years App’s will be indispensable?
CB: “Yes, I think more and more people are using apps to facilitat their lifes and companies can use the apps to better and faster communicate with their customers.”
Are you currently (still) looking for investments or funds to finalise or optimize your App?
CB: “We are open for investments to boost marketing activities, as we have really good KPIs.
Are you familiar with the definition Monetization (how to earn money with your App)? Are you open for ad companies sending advertisements through your App?
CB: “We don’t want to have advertisements in our app, as this would annoy customers and the app should be fun to use.”
What is the business model of the App (how does the App earns money?) Think of advertisements, premium subscriptions in the App etc?
CB: “Customers are sending postcards to friends and paying therefore € 1,99 (incl. tax, postage, etc.). There are also other ideas to generate higher LTVs, but I don’t want to tell at this stage too much about it.”
Last but not least is there anything you want to recommend other App Founders/Creators?
– Get a diverse team (IT, Marketing, Graphic Design, …) that will help a lot
– Understand your customers and solve a problem for them
– Try each marketing channel and measure it – to see what works best
– Enjoy it and have fun!
