Q&A

As Founder of this fantastic App, what was your motivation to create such an App?
FB:
“I realized that many sectors had been affected by uberization but one sector was still safe, that of education. I therefore thought about a way to connect coaches and learners in a fast, accessible, learner-friendly way and at democratic prices. From then on, the idea of creating an Application came to mind. It would allow everyone to put their skills to the benefit of others, to supplement their income and to others to have an accessible service, at affordable prices close to home.”

Why should App Users download this App?
FB: “Because above all, Bfox is a sharing of knowledge, in a way, a way to value his skills. We are all talented in one area or several in particular, so why not put it to the benefit of others while taking advantage of the service. For others, who wish to be coached, no need to go for miles to get to a coaching sports, culinary or school. The quality service (monitor by the scoring system set up in the application) toque at our door, at affordable prices! The App is free and Fox’s payments (coaches) go through the App to ensure everyone’s security.”

What are the advantages compared to other similar App’s?
FB: “The main advantage is that currently, on the Belgian market, no application of this kind is available. It was thought to move, to lodge or to feed but not to educate :).”

Can you tell something about the process, challenges, hurdles and time spent from the moment you start (The Idea) till the moment you launched the App at the AppStore / GooglePlay?
FB: “We are still at the stage of financing development. To build the project, draw the first models, establish the scenarios, find a crowdfunding platform that accepts our project, we are more than a year and a half of work. Initially, I was alone on the project, then I asked the help of a communication agency to realize the logo and the graphic charter. Benoit Wattecamps realized all the graphic aspect and the website of Bfox, knowing that I will need him for the continuation of the project, I proposed him to associate and he did not hesitate!”

Once you launched the App in the Appstore / GooglePlay, what did you do to promote this App to your target audience (App User group)? Do you think Applepies (as worldwide rating and reviewing Online App Magazine) can have a certain role in this?
FB: “For the moment, I think that Applepies can allow us to have visibility for potential investors or any other person who would like to encourage us because they believe in the idea by participating in the financing of the project.

You as a visionair, what is your view on the new technologies of the digital smartphone (App) world. Do you think that within 1 to 5 years App’s will be indispensable?
FB: “Applications are the future of many sectors. It is always with us, It reminds us by notifications when we forget them :). It avoids having to move, goods and services come to us. Although, many persons think the Apps are a threat to some trades, I think trades need to be reinvented. The definition of work no longer needs to be in our time, we must review our whole approach to goods and services.”

Are you currently (still) looking for investments or funds to finalise or optimize your App?
FB: “Yes, as said above.”

Wat is the business model of the App (how does the App earns money?) Think of advertisements, premium subscriptions in the App etc?
FB: “The App will retain a 20% commission on each payment that will go through the application. What we remains is very little. Taking the example of a Fox in mathematics that would be paid 10 Euros per hour, only 2 Euros will be retained by Bfox. The remaining 8 Euros will be net in the Fox pocket as long as he does not exceed a current limit of 400 Euros of revenue per month. Beyond that, it will move away from the fiscal framework on the collaborative economy.”

Last but not least is there anything you want to recommend other App Founders/Creators?
FB: “To have faith in his project, it may seem idealistic, but if you believe in your projects, it is a first step to convince others to join. I was often told by reading my project, that I felt that I put everything I had and it is the case to say it!

From a technical point of view, it is necessary to be well prepared, to think of any eventuality, to prepare a complete business plan, to carry out market studies, to initiate oneself to the development of an Application to know what one speaks when we prospect developers, keep abreast of the latest news in application and finally have a well-built communication!”
