Is the app created for a certain country/area or worldwide: Intensively focus on UK Region & South East Asia but available worldwide.
As Founder of this fantastic App, what was your motivation to create such an app?
HB: “It’s all started with the vision and how calendario can make a sum of positive contribution to people. We managed to see certain results of users being productive and social at the same time. Calendario is one of the first app that improvised calendar to be more of fun and certain interesting events to look forward in such way where users would no longer see calendar as a boring object. In Calendario community, we managed observe that their users’ productivity has increased where has all of their life plans are shared especially pursuing their milestones and share their throwback moments. As we introduced better features recently, we thrive to make calendario to be more of social event App. Users able to conduct their impromptu events such as parties or even reunion. With that, users able experience more than just another social network App.”
Can you tell something about the process, challenges, hurdles and time spent from the moment you start till you launched on Appstore?
HB: “Ah, this is an interesting part. It took us a lot of time because initially, we did not see as a priority. With our current members, we were just strangers in iOS developers’ community I approached them on lnstagram and pitch them about the possibilities of how Calendario can improve lives of others. We did not know each other previously and it was a funny and something to remember in lifetime where you can take things further with someone you just met on lnstagram. As for that matter, meetings are typically conducted during early morning for me due to time zone differences and at times, miscommunication sometimes slow us down. At the time of launch on Appstore, I was hugely surprised we’ve managed to fulfill our expectations and it is something to cherish with whereas strangers whom I’ve met on lnstagram seems to be a trusted partners.”
Once You launched the App in the Appstore, what did you do to promote this App to your target audience (user group)?
HB: “Well, our business development have taken steps and done some research on how calendario can be compatible with our target audience. As a startup, we try to our best to cope with our marketing budget. We contact with social media influencers to endorse our app and get them to share their days in their lives on Calendario. Social media influencers are one of the newest marketing strategy that has been overlooked by conservatives CMOsSuprisingly, we’ve got some Asian celebrities who are keen to endorse due to our story of how we formed Calendario. I would say that Applepies has the impressive effort share their audiences know how tough and how things can get more interesting from startups around the world and knowing some untold facts of founders ‘experiences.”
You as visionaire, what is your view on the technologies of the digital smartphone (App) world. Do you think that within 1 to 5 years will be indispensable?
HB: “I would say things can go very different what everyone expected. As my experiences of using apps since I got my !Phone 3G till now, Apps have further their extension features and introduce features than it should be remain as. It is something like we call it as ‘Super Apps ‘. Nevertheless, developers around the world are focusing on creating artificial intelligence apps and Virtual Reality.”
Are you currently (still) looking for investments or funds to finalize or optimize your App?
HB: “As of now, We’re looking for funding however, we would like to gain our traction to fulfill our plans. With external funding, we able to scale the app and improve performances and efficiency would certainly increase amongst the team as well.”
What is the business model of the App (how does the app earn money?) Think of advertisements, premium subscriptions in the App etc?
HB: “As this matter have fully considered, our business model is by fees and commission of events where we have small percentage of cuts of total sales. Other than that, we also rely on advertisements.”
Last but not least, is there anything you want to recommend other creators/founders?
HB: “Sure why not? Each of experiences are worth to share. I would say that you should make evaluation of everything. Frequent discussion would able to improve the team’s communication and improve efficiency of the team.”
