Q & A:
As Founder of this fantastic App, what was your motivation to create such an App?
”What I love the most besides creating cool software is listening to music while doing it. Since I am really into electronic music; I used Soundcloud and Youtube to listen livesets. I often got frustrated using this services because I couldn’t use my media keys and was constantly looking for the browsertab playing the music.
This is why I decided to build my own native “Music Player app” combining my two most used music services.”
Why should Users download this App?
“When you love music you should definitely try using Muno. Especially when you like a huge variety of music (other than the mainstream top 40). Otherwise, Muno is just a great FREE alternative to Spotify.”
What are the advantages compared to other similar App’s?
“The main advantages are:
>Clean, fast and simple UI
>Great native experience (Use of media keys etc)
>Focussed on your music taste and will aprove on this even more”.
Can you tell something about the process, challenges, hurdles and time spent from the moment you start (The Idea) till the moment you launched the App at the AppStore / GooglePlay?
“In this day and age developing software is made simpler by the extensive availability of packages and frameworks. This also can be a real struggle to find the best ones. Also, I spend a lot of time deciding on how the app should look like and how it should work. I have spent almost 600 hours on Muno so far. All these hours were evening hours.”
Once you launched the App in the Appstore / GooglePlay, what did you do to promote this App to your target audience (user group)? Do you think Applepies (as worldwide rating and reviewing Online App Magazine) can have a certain role in this?
“I first let all my friends use my App and then posted Muno on Producthunt. This way I can see the response on my product. I’ve got a lot of great responses and I am now looking to get more publicity for my App.”
You as a visionary person, what is your view on the new technologies of the digital smartphone (App) world. Do you think that within 1 to 5 years App’s will be indispensable?
“Even now we cannot live without Apps. When for instance Whatsapp is shut down, the world would be shocked. Apps are more and more integrated in our lives and since Apps get more possibilities every year, this will expand even more”.
Are you currently (still) looking for investments or funds to finalise or optimize your App?
“No, I first want to know how people think of Muno and when I get an amazing response I will try getting investors.”
Wat is the business model of the App (how does the App earns money?) Think of advertisements, premium subscriptions in the App etc?
“Muno has no business model (yet). I believe great Apps come from ideas and not from a business model. First, think of a great App, build it, find out if people like it. Then maybe think of a business model to keep your company alive and keep providing the best App.”
Last but not least is there anything you want to recommend to other creators/founders?
“Do not make an App to earn a lot of money (primarily). Make an App to make peoples lives better and hopefully earn a buck on the end.”
